Moscow, Russia — 6 March 2022

Visa and Mastercard will temporarily suspend operations within Russia from March 10. Visa and Mastercard cards issued by Russian banks will continue to operate within the country without restrictions. Tinkoff Business cards will also work without restrictions in Russia.

Cards issued in Russia can be used for purchases abroad, in foreign stores and for services, as well as via Apple Pay and Google Pay, until March 10.

Apple Pay and Google Pay services for Visa and Mastercard cards will not work in Russia. Contactless payments will be possible with any card, as well as through the Mir Pay service.

Our customers who are currently abroad are advised to:

• Withdraw sufficient amounts of cash
• Prepay any large, upcoming expenses
• Order a Mir card through the Tinkoff app

Mir cards are accepted in Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, South Ossetia, Vietnam, and Turkey.

Tinkoff is also exploring the possibility of issuing Union Pay cards as well as other options for fast and convenient payments abroad.
