It is also the first ATM in the Russian market that does not print a paper receipt; if necessary, the client can receive a receipt on their smartphone.
Tinkoff’s digital ATM supports all the services familiar to customers, including depositing and withdrawing cash using contactless cards, telephones, and QR codes. The ATM can also carry out operations based on customers’ biometric data (this functionality will be rolled out after the end of the test period).
The new model was jointly developed by Tinkoff, GRG Banking and ATM Market. The ATM was developed using a modern recycling module and operates on a closed cash circulation system. The recycler has passed all the required tests and received certification from the Bank of Russia. The model supports PCI DSS security standards as well as 3DES and RSA encryption technologies.
Anatoly Makeshin, payment systems director, deputy chairman of the board of Tinkoff, commented: «Tinkoff is one of the most innovative players in the Russian market and we are focused on offering the very best to our customers. Existing ATM models on the market left much to be desired in terms of their feature set. We want to give our customers the best quality, so we decided to develop our own ATM to be the fastest, most technologically advanced and convenient. As a result, we have developed the most innovative ATM in Russia, and we nicknamed it „Kesha“. As it turns out, Kesha is also one of the most modern ATMs in the world. We have already installed one model in Moscow, and soon they will be rolled out in other cities across Russia.»
Tinkoff’s ATM network boasts more than 1,000 ATMs across all of Russia, and by the end of the first quarter of 2020 another 500 units will be installed. All Tinkoff ATMs operate on recycling technology, which creates significant savings on maintenance and collection. Tinkoff also has 300 payment terminals in service, with which customers can replenish Tinkoff bank accounts and pay for telecommunications services.
