Tinkoff acquires a 51% stake in BANKOM, an innovative developer of ATM solutions

Russia, Moscow — 5 April 2022
Tinkoff has announced its acquisition of a 51% stake in BANKOM, a Russian developer of innovative ATM solutions. The Group will buy the shares from BANKOM’s sole shareholder Sergey Rabotko, who will co-own the business and retain his position as CEO.

BANKOM specialises in servicing ATMs, POS terminals and other payment systems, from distribution, repairs and branding to offering creative technology and adding new custom-made features. In terms of structure, BANKOM has a service and an engineering department, adaptive manufacturing operations, an assembly shop and a creative solutions lab.

Since the roll-out of Tinkoff’s ATM network, we have been making sure that our customer solutions are the most innovative in the market. At our ATMs, customers can withdraw and deposit cash, make money transfers and other banking transactions, pay for various services, etc. Tinkoff strives to continuously evolve and introduce state-of-the-art technologies across its operations. The Group pays special attention to its ATM visuals, UI and UX to ensure that all elements of our ecosystem’s design meet the highest corporate standards.

In order to create a new generation ATMs, Tinkoff is strengthening ties with its suppliers and vendors, and keeps boosting its in-house expertise. The Group has been working with BANKOM since the launch of its ATM network. As a result of this partnership, our ATMs boast a unique design including our trademark light boxes. Among other iconic projects are our art ATMs featuring the world’s finest masterpieces. In addition, BANKOM provides support for Tinkoff’s self-service network, which it will continue to do post-transaction, while also developing innovative solutions for the Group’s ATMs.

At the same time, the company will remain a reliable partner to other market players who enjoy BANKOM’s quality services.
